Lowell Hammond

Lowell James "Hambone" Hammond, Age 77, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents Van and Belle Hammond; wife, Polly Ruff Hammond, brothers Murray Hammond, Wayne Hammond, Ralph Hammond, and Hugh Hammond. He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Ruff and David (Donna) Ruff; daughters, Linda (Ronnie) Barnes, Cindy (Tommy) Easterling, Debbie (Jerry) Vannoy; brother, Roy (Stella) Hammond; sisters, Lucille Green and Myra Campbell; sister-in-law, Wilma Walker; grandchildren, James R. Ruff, Jason Ruff, Paul Vannoy, George (Susan) Tinsley, Erin (Brad) Dobbs, Jessica Ruff, and Michelle Tinsley; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. Special recognition to nephew, Don (Barbara) Hammond. Visitation will be Monday, October 11, 2010 at 11 am at Selma Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel, with Rev. Preston Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Vannoy, Tommy Easterling, Jason Ruff, David Ruff, Paul Vannoy,Ronnie Barnes and James Ruff.
