Lula Mae Helms, age 85, of Selma, AL, passed away May 12, 2019 in Venice, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Pearl Newsome and two brothers, Bill Newsom and William (Dean) Newsome.
Surviving are her husband, Ollie Helms; children, Robin Helms, Dannie (Wanda) Helms and Kenneth (Karen) Helms; brother, G. B. Newsome; sisters, Tory June Parsons, Melvina Blair and Helen Lane; grandchildren, Josh Helms, Crystal Helms, Shane McGee, Tiffany McLain, Heather Helms and Kristina Helms; numerous great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Coates officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2:30 p.m.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
