Marjorie Gayle Lavender

Marjorie G. Lavender of selma, Alabama passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at the age of 81.

She was born on March 18, 1943 to the late Hayward Smith and the late Esther Smith.

Marjorie served as a elementary school secretary for thirty years. She loved children and spending time with family and friends. she was an avid painter of ceramics and enjoyed other hobbies as well.

She is survived by her children, Rachel Lavender (Jennifer Fauss)  and Jacob (Candice) Lavender; grandchildren, Haley Lavender, Ayrwen Lavender, Emma Lavender, Kaiden Andrews, Zoe Lavender, Sunni Lavender and Cameron Lavender; siblings, Fran McClain and Joshua Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, C.J. Smith.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Selma Funeral Home of Valley Grande, Alabama.
