He is survived by his wife, Leah Tortomasi Oxford; parents, Mr. and Mrs. John McDowell Oxford Sr.; brother: John McDowell Oxford Jr.; sister in law: Blair; grandmothers: Mrs. Rae Jackson and Mrs. Elizabeth Oxford. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers: Mr. G.R. Jackson and Mr. Malcolm Randolph Oxford.
Funeral services will be held at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Selma at 2:00 pm Thursday with The Rev. Joseph S. Knight, The Rev. David Powell, and The rev. Elizabeth Powell officiating. The family request that memorials be made to The Central Alabama Animal Shelter, 206 Medical Center Parkway, Selma, AL 36701
