Malcolm Eddie Jordan, 72, was received into heaven on Good Friday, April 6, 2012, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Jordan, and his father, Eddie Lawrence Jordan, both of Selma. Mr. Jordan is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Sally Smith Jordan; his four children, Jonathan Jordan, Allegra Jordan, Andrew Jordan, and Shannon Baur; six brothers and sisters; and eleven grandchildren. Mr. Jordan was born in Hollandale, Mississippi on June 14, 1939 and graduated from Mississippi State University. Commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force, he completed his flight training at Craig Air Base in Selma in 1963. He served his country from 1963 to 1977 in Germany, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Georgia, and New Jersey before returning to Selma. Mr. Jordan owned the Selma Supply & Lumber Company on Selma Avenue and later became the proprietor of Reliable Realty. He was a past deacon and Sunday school teacher at Elkdale Baptist Church. A celebration of Mr. Jordan's reunion with his heavenly family will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Elkdale Baptist Church on Elkdale Street in Selma. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. Cory Horton officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Honorary pallbearers include the Frank Ernest Sunday School Class at Elkdale Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Gideons International, P.O.
