Marcus Simpkins

Marcus Skinner Simpkins passed away February 14, 2022 at the age of 90. He was born August 17, 1932 to the late George Simpkins, Sr. and Cliney A. Simpkins.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Rush Simpkins, later wife, Janice Rush Blanton Simpkins; brothers, James Simpkins and Robert Curry Simpkins.

He is survived by his children, Susan (Roger) Williams, Peggy (Jack) Coker, Robert (Kathryn) Simpkins, Mike (Kim) Simpkins, Tracy (Dean) Martin and Todd (Sue Ann) Simpkins; nine grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Friday, February 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery with Bro. Reid Nettles officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing.

Pallbearers will be John Biggs, Ron Johnson, Chris Pate, Lucas Felts, Michael Felts and J.R. Wood.
