Margaret McCurdy Singleton
Margaret McCurdy Singleton, age 85, of Selma passed away June 26, 2010. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Houston Park Church of Christ with Dr. Tom McLemore officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will begin 1 hour before the service.
Mrs. Singleton was a registered nurse with the Vaughn Hospital for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Russell H. McCurdy and Lennie Lee Grindle McCurdy; sisters: Pauline Perry and Arlene McCurdy, and brother Clyde McCurdy.
Mrs. Singleton is survived by her son: Charles Levi Longshore, Jr. (Betty); daughters: Jessie Lynn Hovatter (Kenneth), Janet Leigh Manderson (Bill), and Karen Marie Dismukes (Keith); brothers: Robert McCurdy (Barbara) and George McCurdy (Liz); and stepchildren: George Singleton (Claire), Ann King (Don), and Jean Brannon (Rob).
Honorary pallbearers will be: Trey Longshore, Rob Gordon, Tanner Dismukes, Matt Hovatter, Owen Dismukes, Robert Strickland, Andy Flowers and Henley Hughes.
