Martha Johnson

Martha R. Johnson, age 79, of Selma, AL, passed away July 24, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Webster Johnson and sisters, Betty Winters and Barbara Hardy. She is survived by her special friend and companion, William E. Herrod and his family; her children, Webb Johnson, Cathy Johnson and Nina (Ed) Dennis; sisters, Elizabeth (Alex) Easters, Theus (Pete) Davis, Clara Bowman and Margie Lindsay; brother-in-law, Curtis (Margaret) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Beth Johnson and Mary Champion, niece, Linda Reister; grandchildren, Alison (Rod) Hardy, Matt Dennis, Jordan Dennis, Emily Dennis and Paige Dennis and great-grandchild, Tyler Hardy. Graveside services will be Friday, July 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Ed Eaton officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service at 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Lynn McAfee, Steve Herrod, Larry Herrod, Jeffrey Herrod, Bubba Stough and Brandon Stough. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to Westwood Baptist Church, 4085 U.S. Hwy 80 West, Selma, AL, 36701 or a favorite charity.
