Mary Drinkard Branyon, age 93, passed away September 25, 2016 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL. Mary was born in Demopolis on June 13, 1923. She was the daughter of James Malcom Drinkard and Lila Gibbs Drinkard.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Marion Leander Branyon; son: Paul Malcom Branyon, and son in law: James Michael Alverson.
She is survived by her daughters: Patricia Alverson , Regina Jordan (David); grandchildren: Lorian Smith (Michael), Marc Alverson (Miriah); step grandchildren: Scott Jordan (Kelly), Robin Jordan, Eric Jordan (Shelley); 2 great grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; and sisters: Jewell Davis, Peggy Livingston (Dan) and Shirley Hogan; and numerious neices and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Cory Horton and Rev. James Anderson officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. at Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church Cemetery in Newtonville, Al. Viisitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 p.m.at the funeral home.
