Mary Cox Boozer, age 93, of Selma, AL, born April 5, 1916 in Wilmore, Kentucky, passed away at home on March 11, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas James Boozer; son, Carl Thomas Boozer; sister, Alma Cox Davenport of California and brother, Carl P. Cox of Lexington, Kentucky. Surviving are her son, Richard M. (Iva) Boozer; daughter, Mary Frances (Cloyd) Nutt; grandchildren, Ricky (Karlene) Boozer, Debbie (Bobby) Brown, Wayne Hart, Connie (Kevin) Parr, Ronnie (DeeDee) Nutt, Thomas (Nancy) Boozer and Lauren Boozer; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Billy Boozer and sisters-in-law, Frances Kotis, Julia Reed, Edra Cox, Eunice Boozer and Beverly Boozer. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. George K. Jones, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 10-11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Ricky Boozer, Jim Boozer, Carl Thomas Boozer, Jr., Wayne Hart, Ronnie Nutt, Eric Parr, Kevin Parr and Bobby Brown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 1800 Dallas Avenue, Selma, AL 36701.
