November 9, 1917 — April 25, 2011

Mary Elizabeth Rentz Moore, age 93, of Selma, AL, died Monday April 25, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Charles Moore; grandchildren, Stephen Robert Moore and Artie Glenn Moore; brother, George Robert Rentz, Jr. She is survived by her children, Dr. William Fred Moore (Mary Beth) of Starkville, MS, Margaret Elizabeth Griffin (Roland) of Selma, Kitty Grey Kynard of Woodstock, GA, George Robert Moore (Jenni) of Browns, AL, Charles Rentz Moore (Joan) of Freeport, FL and Jack Douglas Moore (Rhonda) of Jasper, AL; sister, Ruth Rentz Wilson; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary Elizabeth was born in 1917 to George R. and Henrietta Rentz. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was happiest when in the presence of her family and many friends. She was a devout member of Marion Junction United Methodist Church and United Methodist Woman and was also a member of Marion Junction Homemakers Club.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday April 27, 2011 at Marion Junction United Methodist Church with Reverends Sandy Simmons, Joe Knight and Tom Rimmer officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Orrville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at the church Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be William Andrew Kynard, Jr., Christopher Rentz Moore, Phillip Duane Aultman, Lance Landon Krunosky, John Anthony Melton and Lawrence Eldridge Lormand. Honorary pallbearers will be Roland Vernon Griffin, Jr., Jeremy Charles Moore, Clayton Swilley Shapiro, Brett Stephen McMurray, Richard Rutherford Krunosky and Cody DeWayne Harrison.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to The progressive Supranuclear Palsy Foundation, 30 E. Padonia Rd., Suite 201 Timonium, MD 21093 or Marion Junction United Methodist Church.
