Mary Journey

Mary Evelyn Journey, age 78, a native of Selma, AL and former resident of Fairhope, AL, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012.
She is the daughter of the late Mary Bernadine and Clifford Journey. She attended Sacred Heart Academy and A.G Parrish High School in Selma. She graduated from Mt. St. Agnes College, Baltimore, MD and worked as a medical technologist at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope and Vaughn Medical Center until retirement in 1997. Ms. Journey was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Selma, AL.
She is survived by her brother, Clifford Journey and his wife Joan, of Fairhope, AL; six nieces and nephews; six great nieces and nephews, three great, great, nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 19, 2012, at 10:00 am, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Selma, AL.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 18, 2012, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home in Selma, AL.
Interment will be at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, AL.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be sent to Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 309 Washington Street, Selma, AL 36703 or your favorite charity.
