Jowers, Mary E. Masterson, of Selma, died April 4, 2010 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Leonard H. Jowers. Beloved mother of Mary (Roland) Golner,Lannon, WI, John (Ann) Jowers, Selma, Leonard (Paula) Jowers, Cropwell, AL, the late Lawrence (Anna Goldman) Jowers, William (Marcia) Jowers of Wylie, TX, Elizabeth (Lewis)Peters, Selma, 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Cpl. Jowers was the first female police officer of the Selma Police Department, Traffic Division.
A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday April 8, 2010 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Knight officiating and burial following at Pineview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday April 7, 2010.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Red Cloud Indian School, 100 Mission Drive Pine Ridge, South Dakota 57770.
