Mary Mcguire

Mary Alice McGuire received her earthly reward as she met her Heavenly Father on August 10, 2017.

A celebration of her life will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday.

Mary Alice’s 76 years were lived beautifully and to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her loving parents: Scott “Scotty” and Dorothy Pou McGuire. She spent most of her life in Uniontown and Selma, Alabama.

Mary Alice is survived by a special cousin: Martha Alice Boatner; special friend: Betty Blackwell and special caregiver: Mary Young. She was loved by many staff and friends at the Cahaba Center.

Mary Alice was a joy to know and treated everyone she knew and met with love, concern, and hospitality. She was charming, kind, and had a zest for life. She loved Jesus and would always pray for others in need. She took much joy in writing letters and collecting photographs of everyone she knew. She made everyone feel special regardless of who they were. We are all better people for knowing her. We are blessed to call her friend. Fly high our sweet one… until we meet again.
