Mary Mildred Sellers Mitchell
Mary Mildred Sellers Mitchell, age 84, of Selma, died Saturday March 14, 2009. She was preceded in death by her sister; Doris McCarty and her grandson; Peter E. Paradies Jr. Survivors include her husband; Judge Allen Mitchell, daughters; Jean (John) Payne, Marie Elaine Goodwin, brother-in-law; Juluis Mitchell, sisters-in-law; Jane McKoskie, Fran Thorp, Gertrude Lusk, Eleanor Butler, brother; Albert ���Guy��� Sellers, grandchildren; Donald Clayton Goodwin, Mechelle Paradies, Gary Ray Payne, great- grandchildren; Madison Brook Goodwin, Henderson McCain Goodwin, Jeffrey Beer, Kelsey Payne, Lance Payne, Dustin Payne, Madison Payne, niece; Delories Marlar, nephews; Joey Marlar, Michael Marlar, Ronnie Sellers and Tommy Warren. A chapel service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday March 18, 2009 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday March 17, 2009 at the funeral home. Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell were married for 57 years. Mrs. Mitchell worked at the Cigar Factory for 18 years, after leaving the factory she went to work for the All Lock plant were she served as President of the Union for 28 years. She retired in 1980. She was a faithful and active member of Ocmulgee Baptist Church and her Sunday School class.
