Mary Frances O'Brien Sims, age 95, of Orange Beach, AL. formally of Selma, AL passed away August 8, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty five years Emmett McClain Sims the love of her life. Parents, John Roland O'Brien Sr. and Beulah Blanche Butler O'Brien,
She is survived by one brother John R. O'Brien Jr., Montgomery, AL. her daughters, Gloria McClain Sims of Orange Beach/ Lillian, AL., and Rita Sims Franklin formerly of Selma, granddaughters, Mary Frances Sims Crump, of Orange Beach, AL., Gloria McClain Sims Crump of Gulf Shores, AL., Susan F. Wilhelm of Birmingham, AL and Sarah Franklin of, Florence AL.
Grave side services will be Saturday August 11th at 11:30 P.M. at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, AL. The family will greet friends at Lawrence Brown Service Funeral Home during visitation from 9:30 -11:00 prior to the grave side service to celebrate her life.
Mary Frances was born May 11, 1917. She was a very active business women in the community. After retiring from Sims Furniture where she and her husband had for over 40 years, she moved to Orange Beach, AL. in Aug. 2005 to be with her daughter Gloria and Granddaughters.
The family would like to thank the staffs at both Robertsdale Health Care Center and Odyssey Hospice for their kindness and devotion to her care.
