Mary Carlton Dudley Speight was born in Selma at old Vaughan Hospital on July 1, 1934. She died Tuesday, April 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by parents, Oliver Carlton Dudley and Mary Elizabeth Chisolm. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Oscar Cobb Speight, Jr. ���Sam���; one son, Robert Cobb Speight (Kendra); daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Beth); three grandsons, Garrett Cobb Speight, Samuel Keith Speight, and Robert Matthew Meredith.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday April 15, 2011 at Live Oak Cemetery with Reverend Lee Tate officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The family would like friends to know they may come by the funeral home at any time to pay their respects.
