Mary Elizabeth Whidby
Mary Elizabeth Whidby, 88, of Safford passed away on March 30, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Whidby.
Mrs. Whidby is survived by her children: daughter, Nell Mooney (Jack) of Orrville and son, Jim Whidby (Bobbie) of Safford. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Neal E. Mooney, James A. Mooney, Allison W. Harper (Chris) and Emily Whidby; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Walter H. Givhan and Samuel P. Givhan (Lynne); numerous nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Sue Lewis and Lavina Schrock.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 2, 2013, at the Orrville Cemetery with Rev. Donald Harris officiating and Lawrence Brown- Service Funeral home directing.
Active pallbearers will be Neal Mooney, James Mooney, Chris Harper, Hunter Harper, Sam Houston Givhan and David Givhan.
Honorary pallbearers are Members of the Kathy Morris Jones Bible Study Group.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations and memorials go to Cahaba Hospice.
A special thanks to Cahaba Hospice Volunteers and staff for their loving care and professional manner. In particular, Frances Jones, Brenda Bossi and Jean Brannon.
