Mary Leigh Howorth passed away January 1, 2018 at the age of 103. She was born November 27, 1914 to the late Joseph R. McCall and Clemmie Wells McCall.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Graham J. Howorth; son, Dr. Graham Lee Howorth and sister, Lillie Mae “Sis” Moxley.
She is survived by her son, Treadwell K. “Buddy” Howorth (Linda); daughters, Joanne Howorth and Lynn (Landis) Gaston; grandchildren; grandchildren, Dr. Graham (Stacy) Howorth, Kenneth (Denise) Howorth, Charles Robert (Darla) Howorth, Debbie (John) Marchese, Jeffrey Landis (Amy) Gaston, Kimberly Gaston (Rafael) Rivera, Mary Leigh (Brian) Morrison, Maegan (Chris) Cuellar, Stephen Graham (Laura Whitney) Howorth, and great grandchildren: Hilary Shassner, Rachel Howorth, Julie Howorth, Michael John Marchese, Marcus Marchese, Alexandra Marchese, Katherine Graham Howorth, Ashlyn Gaston, Morgan Gaston, Josie Rivera, Olivia Rivera, Jack Morrison, Elizabeth Graham Howorth, Anne Bennett Howorth, and Liliana Cuellar.
Funeral services will be Sunday, January 7, 2018 in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Martin and Rev. Von McQueen officiating. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and Reid Buster.
