Mary Louise Helms

Mary Louise Parten Helms passed away July 8, 2021 at the age of 92.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Arthur Plummer officiating. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.

Mrs. Helms was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Helms; mother, Carrie N. Parten; grandparents, Jessie and Syvilla L. Newsome; daughter, Patricia H. Sides; son-in-law, Charles E. Sides, Sr.; and sisters, Helen P. Kynard and Emma L. Bates.

She is survived by her son, Ron (Sheila) Helms of Montgomery, AL; daughter, Cindy H. Green of Cheyenne, WY; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Girlie, Scott Girlie, Kenny Girlie, Tim Ingram, Carl Smith, David Wilkinson and Terry Green.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Westwood Church of God, 2905 Landline Road, Selma, AL 36701.
