Mavis S. Bennett age 87 of Selma, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at her residence.
She was born on May 8, 1935 in Alabama to the late Arthur L. Stallings and the late Irene Ashley Stallings.
She was a former shoe sales clerk.
She is survived by her children, Pam Haskins, Terry Bennett, and Gary (Sherry) Bennett; grandchildren, Leigh (James) Holland, Caitlin Haskins, and Jeremiah Bennett; and 6 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Bennett; son, Larry Bennett; and siblings, Benny Stallings, Avis Wright, Buddy Stallings, and Augusta Stallings.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande with Rev. Ryan Skiebe officiating.
There will be no visitation, everyone please meet in the cemetery.
In lieu of flower, please make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the care of Selma Funeral Home.
