Maxine Calloway

Maxine Gilmore Calloway, age 83, of Selma, died Tuesday September 13, 2011. Mrs. Calloway was a nurse of Dr. DeBardeleben for many years. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Oscar and Fannie Mae Gilmore; granddaughter, Amanda Maxine Calloway; brother, Wyman Gilmore; sisters, Audrey DeVane and Vera Nell Hutchinson. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank L. Calloway, Sr.; sons, Frank Calloway, Jr. (Willene) of Demopolis, Oscar Wayne Calloway of Selma and Timothy Calloway (Teasie) of Spanish Fort; grandchildren, Jeromey Calloway, Lisa McHugh (Adam), Ethan Calloway and Courtney Calloway; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and very dear friend, Mittie White.
A church service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday September 16, 2011 at Fairview Baptist Church with Reverend George Jones, Dr. Kenny Hatcher and Reverend Tom Stacey officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Adam McHugh, Jeromey Calloway, Ethan Calloway, Gil Gilmore, Mark Hutchinson and Harold DeVane.
