Mayme McCallon

Yvonne Fields McCallon, 80, left Clanton, AL for her heavenly home October 4, 2010. This loving and graceful mother of four, grandmother of six and great- grandmother of one is survived by her husband of fifty eight years, John D. McCallon. Born and Raised in Pharr, Texas, Yvonne was the first of two wonderful daughters born to A.B. and "Willie" Fields. Yvonne graduated Baylor University in 1952, married John (whom she had met at Baylor) and faithfully served alongside him in church ministries in Altus, Oklahoma; Tyler, Texas; Richardson, Texas; Columbus, Georgia and McKinney, Texas. In 2004, the McCallons moved to Melbourne, FL to live near their oldest daughter, Karen, and her husband, Durwood Brown. In 2008, The McCallons and the Browns moved to Lake Mitchell near Clanton, Alabama to be near Durwood's parents. Besides John, Yvonne is survived by her sister, Sandra (Russell) Talbert of Deer Park, Texas. Yvonne's children are: Karen (Durwood) Brown and granddaughters, Kendall (David) Hibiske of San Jose, CA and Brittany (Jimmy) Griffin and great grandson, Jax Durwood Griffin; Kevin (Erin) McCallon of Kingwood, Texas and granddaughter, Megan McCallon of Nashville, TN; Kristi McCallon of Dallas, Texas and Kelly (Tiffany) McCallon and granddaughters, Libby, Sarah and Annie of St. Louis Park, MN. She was a member of the Owl Club of McKinney, TX and was a Sunday School teacher. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Yvonne's memory to the Baylor University BRH choir in Waco, TX, One Bear # 97050, Waco, TX 76798, would be appreciated.
