Melwyn Taccone
April 16, 1930 — March 29, 2017
Melwyn Miller Taccone, 86, died at her home, Wednesday, March 29, 2017 following a lengthy illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Taccone, Sr., her parents, Aubrey Miller, Sr. and Hennie Ida Jones Miller, and her brother, Aubrey Miller, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Taccone (Dana) Hollis, Selma, Lisa Taccone (Gary) Harding, Birmingham; son, David (Donna) Taccone, Jr., Selma; grandchildren, John (Evelyn) Taccone and Dr. Matthew Taccone, Selma and Kayla Harding (Jonathan) Bowman, Birmingham; and several nieces and nephews.
Melwyn graduated from Parrish High School and spent many years as the receptionist for Dr. Bryant Speed.
The family would like to thank Sharon, Sirrea, Frances, Dee, and Rick from Homestead Hospice and Nese Burton, caregiver, for all of their love and care.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 1, at 11 a.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with Dr. Cecil Williamson and Dr. Joshua Carmichael officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
