Michael Elwyn Giles, age 62, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013.
He is preceded in death by his father: Ervin Calloway Giles.
Mr. Giles is survived by his mother: Eloise Gunn Giles; daughter: Mary Elizabeth Switzer (Nicholas) of Selma; granddaughter: Mary Frances Switzer; sisters: Nara Giles Johnson (Duane), Sara Giles Retherford (Guy); the bride of his youth: Mary Hubbard Giles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Light officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Buddy Champion officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday night from 6-8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Scott Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Duane Johnson, Guy Retherford, Evan Retherford, and Monte Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be the Maverick Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Maverick Sunday School Class or the First Baptist Church Sanctuary choir.
