Mildred Lockhart “Micki” Jewell passed away peacefully on November 12, 2021 at the age of 74. She was born December 17, 1946 to the late John and Pauline Lockhart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome “Jerry” Jewell.
Micki was a talented musician who grew up playing the piano and enjoyed music of all variaties. She kept the books for the family farm, cotton gin and flying service. She was a wonderful cook whose legendary dishes were known far and wide by those in the community. Micki enjoyed fishing and gardening and was in every sense of the word, a “doer.”
Micki enjoyed the time she spent in Fort Walton Beach running Sno-Biz and making friends with the locals and the tourists alike. She was loved by so many, especially the kids who considered the Jewell home their second home and Micki their second mom.
She is survived by her son, Eric Jewell (Shannon Majors Anderson); daughter, Chandelle (John A.) Westbrook; grandchildren, Camryn Jewell, John J. Westbrook, John P. Holbrook; brother, Steve (Naomi) Lockhart; niece, Stacy Lockhart and nephew, Jay Lockhart.
Graveside services will be Monday, November 15, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Cambridge Christian Cemetery with Rev. Larry Nickles officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be John P. Holbrook, Dexter Fluty, Jordan Dennis, Rodney Duncan, Roger Tindoll and William Jordan.
