Mona Carter Meredith

Mona Newman Carter Meredith went home to be with the Lord July 15, 2022 at the age of 83. She was born September 4, 1938 to the late Clarence and Kathleen Newman.

She was preceded in by her husband, Grady Miles Meredith; sister, JoAnn Newman Middleton and great-nephew, Graham Powell.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Walter) Traylor and Mike (Monique) Carter; grandchildren, Ryan (Spencer) Traylor, Crawford (Emily) Traylor, Benton Traylor, Katie Carter and Carson Carter; nieces, Dorothy Powell and Kay (Rob) Bohrod; great-nephews, Ryan Bohrod, Sean Bohrod and Brad Powell and great-nephew, Paige (Chris) Gwin and a host of great-great nephews.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Henry Levert officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society,  PO Box 131433 , Birmingham, AL 35213.
