Myrtle S. Taylor passed away November 16, 2024 at the age of 94. She was born October 10, 1930 to the late Clifton Eldridge Stone and Verna Nichols Stone, the oldest of ten children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Vernon Taylor; son, Gregory Irvin Taylor; brothers, Claude Stone, W. E. Stone, James Stone; sisters, Ernestine (Bill) Worrell, Minnie (Raymond) Vinson, Verna Harrison and Martha (Jimmy) Pugh; brother-in-law, Charles Hughey; daughter-in-law, (mother of Elizabeth Dixon and Charles Taylor), Teresa Taylor.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Taylor and Carolyn (Ronnie) Hollingshead; grandchildren, Dee (David) Blackmon, Tuesday (Michael) Hicks, Veronica (Justin) Mott, Elizabeth Dixon and Charles Taylor; great-grandchildren, Grace Hicks, Faith Hicks, Haley Blackmon, Sarah Blackmon, Grady Mott, Justin Dixon, Jacob Dixon, Jordan Dixon and Jennifer Dixon and ; sisters, Angerine Hughey, Elodean (Arnold) Vinson and in-laws, Patricia Stone and Harley Harrison and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma with Rev. Glenn Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m., prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Justin Mott, Michael Hicks, David Blackmon, David Buxton, Jeremy Moreland, Phillip Worrell and Charles Taylor.
