Palm City, FL- Nell Ouida Reed, 81, wife of the late Charles Henry Reed, passed away on July 23, 2016, at Cottingham Hospice House, Seneca, SC.

Mrs. Reed was born in Selma, Alabama and lived most of her life in Palm City, FL. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Eunice Barrett Patterson. Ouida was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.

Mrs. Reed is survived by her son: Charles Stephen Reed of Palm City, FL. daughters: Martha R. Zglinicki (Joey) of West Union, SC, Connie Conley (Gary) of Indiantown, FL, and Kelley Ray (Brad) of Marshall, IL; brother: John Patterson of Dallas, NC; sister: Virginia Green of Maplesville, AL; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her sons: Timothy Patterson Reed, and David Randall Reed and her brother: Bert Patterson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 29, 2016, at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church in Jones, Alabama with burial to follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 AM, Friday, July 29, 2016, prior to the service at Pleasant Valley Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, GHS Cottingham Hospice House, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672.

The family is at their respective homes.

Davenport Funeral Home in Walhalla, SC is assisting the family. Funeral services in Alabama will be under the direction of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home 2900 Citizens Parkway Selma, AL 36701.
