Nonie Day
July 27, 1930 — February 25, 2017
Nonie O. Day was a very strong willed, hardworking, and loving mother and grandmother. She left a life time of memories, lessons and impressions to any and every one in her life.
Nonie Day went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2017 at the age of 86. She was born July 27, 1930 to Newt and Daisy Miley.
She was preceded in death by her husband: George Albert Day; parents: Newt and Daisy Miley, along with her 8 brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Day is survived by her children: James (Norma) Day, Doris (Zeke) Lewis, Sarah Woodyard, David (Teresa) Day, Peggy (Ron) Leverett, Buddy Day, and Tammy (Greg) Posey; grandchildren: Jamie (Cherie) Day, Cindy (Ferrell) Denny, Kenny (Peggy) Day, Frankie (Heather) Rogers, Joey (Angela) Rogers, John (Kristina) Perotti, Summer Perotti, Ashley (James) Hawkshead, Derek (Kasey) Lassitter, Thomas (Kendra) Day, April Posey, and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 at Casey Church of Christ with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Casey Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 26, at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Jamie Day, Kenny Day, Joey Rogers, Derek Lassitter, Thomas Day, and John Perotti. Honorary pallbearer will be Frankie Rogers.
The family of Nonie Day would like to extend their gratitude to Health Care Hospice, Brenda Bossie and all the other nursing staff for their generous help and support. Also, would like to thank Park Place rehab, Joanne Hise and all the nurses and assistance that helped aid in the care of Nonie day. Your kindness, care and compassion does not go unrecognized.
