Norene H. Powell, age 80, of Oxford, GA, formerly of Selma, died Thursday November 13, 2008. Survivors include her son; James Earl Powell, daughters; Martha Kaye Powell, Barbara Portwood, Beth Powell Delcambre, Brenda Faye Powell, brother; William D. Henderson, sisters; Bessie Summerlin, Eva Jo Ledbetter, 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday November 16, 2008 in the Chapel of Lawrence Brown Service Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Chandler officiating. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday November 15, 2008 at the funeral home.
