Norman Meister

Norman Steffens Meister, 87, of Selma died July 10, 2009 at his residence. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Neal Caver officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the funeral home. Mr. Meister was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick W. and Elsie Steffens Meister. He is survived by his wife, Ila Mae Ellis Meister; children, Glenda J. (Vernon) Hale, Norma E. (Larry) Hodnett, Martha Ann Caver, and Rev. Neal Caver; grandchildren, Stacey (Ricky) Harper, Frederick W. Meister, Ellen (David) Barrett; great grandchildren, Bradie Harper, Morgan Harper, and Kelsie Barrett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Active Pallbearers will be George Humphreys, Lewis Jenkins, Tommy Ellis, Skipper Ellis, Tad Wilkerson, and Alvis Frith.
