Oliver Houston Sewell, age 78, of Selma, died August 4, 2010. Graveside services will be held Saturday August 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00-10:45 a.m. Saturday.
Mr. Sewell is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mabel P. Sewell; children, Lisa Fitts (Buzzie), Mark Sewell (Teresa), Sandra Vinson (Wayne) and John Sewell; grandchildren, Justin Oliver, Jessica Harrison, Christopher Sewell (Emilee) and Julia Vinson; great-grandchildren, Aiden Harrison and Kyrie Harrison; brother, Ned Sewell (Bennie), sisters, Eva Stevenson (Steve) and Joyce Harris (Norman); uncle, Willard Sewell and aunt, Ethelene Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mark Sewell, John Sewell, Wayne Vinson, Keith Lawrence, Kevin Lawrence and Christopher Sewell.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Suite 800 Washington, D.C. 20004.
