Oscar Smith Frasier
Oscar Smith Frasier, age 87, of Selma, passed away Friday June 22, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Georgene McDowell Frasier, son, David Smith (Marion), daughter, Susan Frasier Knight (Nick), nephews, William Gregory Frasier (Margaret) and Marshall Frasier (Mary), niece, Sherrod Colley (Tom), grandchildren, Parker Kennedy, Mac Frasier, Hunt Frasier, Mallie Frasier, Kaley Knight Atchison (Tommy), and Kristopher Knight.
The family expresses their gratitude to all the staff and administration of Cedar Hill at Vaughn Place for their excellent care over the years he resided there. It was a real home to him and his wife. Thanks also to Aseracare Hospice for their care and support during this past year. Special thanks to Dr. Park Chittom Sr. and Dr. David Hodo, long time physicians and friends of Oscar and much appreciation to family caregivers, Mary Johnson and Nora Annie Washington.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 3:00 pm at New Live Oak Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 2:00 at Calhoun Parlor at Church Street United Methodists Church.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Selma Animal Shelter, Medical Center Parkway Selma, AL 36701
