Patsy Carol House Sims passed away April 19, 2018 at the age of 70. She was born April 4, 1948 to the late Joseph Cleveland House and Myrtle Strickland House.
She served as a waitress for over 50 years throughout Selma, with the most time spent at Greystone Restaurant. Always attentive to her customers and knew what they wanted when they come through the door. She was awarded a plaque by the Rotary Club of Selma, thanking her for 25 years of outstanding service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Sims; siblings, Mary Jo Losse, Elgin House, Myrtle “Ikie” Lawrence and Judy Ann House.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa “Missy” Sims (Tommy) Patterson; granddaughter, Jeannie “Catfish, Jr.” Creel; great-grandson, Jesse “Boo-Bear” Creel; siblings, Chris Anderson, Ruby (Roger) Teel, Edna Jean House and Jerry (Thelma) House; sister-in-law, Dale House; close family friend, Melanie Boutwell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Rod Rochester officiating. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jeannie Creel, Melanie Boutwell, Kevin Gutrie, Ronald Anderson, James Anderson and Randy Kynard. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Park Chittom, Jr., LinCare and the staff of Selma Doctor's Clinic.
She was loved by each and everyone of her family members and friends.
