Pattie G. Atwood, age 75, of Selma, AL, passed away September 25, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Earlie R. Tuttle and brother, Jerome Tuttle. She is survived by her husband, Donald C. Atwood; son, Shane Li Atwood; daughters, Toni (Larry) Lewis and Donna (Kevin) Brooks; brother, Larry (Margaret) Tuttle; sister-in-law, Carol Tuttle; sisters, Betty Nelson, Denicia Joyce, Mollie Stevens and Nancy Bullins; grandchildren, Josh Atwood, Adrian Hughes, Heidi Hughes, Robey Brooks, Shane L. Atwood and Samantha Atwood and great-grandchild, Tyler Hughes. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rod Rochester officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Pattie was a polio survivor from age two who lived a full life with a husband and three children and helped raise her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was from the Angel family lineage. She was a true "angel" on this earth and gentle soul and lamb of God. She was the 1954 homecoming queen at Mayodan High School in Mayodan, NC. She was an accomplished professional tailor. Pallbearers will be Joshua Atwood, Adrian Hughes, Robey Brooks, Shane Li Atwood, James King, James Ricketts and Brian Hughes.
