Paul Andrew Hull passed away October 16, 2023 at the age of 80. He was born June 3, 1943 to the late George and Florence Hull.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Grant Hull; sister, Lillie Hull Lassen and brothers-in-law, Rick Butler and Jay Butler.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Gloria Butler Hull; daughters, Darien Hull (Andrew) Arrington and Eady Hull (Jason) Kimbrell; sister, Gail Hull; brother-in-law, Ken (Joyce) Butler; sister-in-law, Greer Hull (Stephen) Hind; grandsons, Jackson Kimbrell, Carter Kimbrell, Collin Kimbrell and Grant Arrington; nephews, Dr. Morgan (Meredith) Hull, Shane (Traci) Butler, Jeb (Jennifer) Butler and Gary Hull; nieces, Whitney (Jim) Brown, Dr. Rachel (Corey) Butler-Sarvant and a host of great-nieces and nephews and special family friend, Donald (Erin) Taylor.
Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He served as a deacon and elder at churches in Selma and Lanett. For 15 years, he hosted a men's home Bible study in Lanett. He enjoyed personal and professional friendships with people near and far. His storytelling and sense of humor were vibrant until the end and will be greatly missed.
Paul was a graduate of Livingston State University and worked many years as a cotton merchant and realtor.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Selma with Dr. Jerry Henry officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service. Mr. Hull will be laid to rest at New Live Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Arrington, Grant Arrington, Dr. Morgan Hull, Jason Kimbrell, Jackson Kimbrell and Carter Kimbrell. Honorary pallbearers will be the Maverick Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Selma and Collin Kimbrell.
The family will accept flowers, or you may consider making memorial donations to First Baptist Church of Selma, P.O. Box 1186, Selma, Alabama 36702 or your favorite charity.
