Peggy Caldwell

Peggy Jane Kelley Caldwell, age 86 passed away surrounded by her daughters and family on October 6, 2022. She was born August 20, 1936 and raised in Selma, Alabama and spent her life surrounded by her family and friends. She lived in Killen, Alabama since 2007.

Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph Carson Caldwell; parents, James Gabriel Kelley and Lelia Vernon Lewis Kelley; brothers, James Kelley, Earl Kelley, Edgar Kelly; sister, Mary Eleanor Kelley.

She is survived by her children, Amy Caldwell (Rick) Richey and Ann Caldwell (Kevin) Chapman; grandchildren, James Robert (Bethany) McElhaney, III, Amy Elizabeth McElhaney, Ann Kathryn (Joe) House, Jonathan Richey, Susanne (Russell) Belew, Stephanie (Hunter) Hines, Nick (Jennifer) Chapman and Will (Lauren) Chapman; great-grandchildren, Jacob Richey, Wiley Belew, Carson McElhaney, Laci Beth Richey, Jesse Belew, Audrey McElhaney, Bailey Reed Cates, Lawson Lisenbe, J.R. House, Ava Chapman, Allie Lisenbe, Carter Chapman, Macie Chapman, Hawk House and Rowe Chapman and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Pastor Jennifer Gregory officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The service will be live streamed online, via the funeral home's Facebook page at http://watchlawrence.live

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Kelley, Kevin Chapman, Rick Richey, James McElhaney, III, Carson McElhaney and Joe House, II.

Peggy loved the Lord and readily shared her love and faith with all who knew her.
