Peggy Chance

Peggy Lowry Chance, born December 1, 1931, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 7, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Velma Lowry, and sisters, Judy Gaddy and Jeannette Lowry.

Peggy is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Chance, Susan Chance, and Martha Pilcher; her grandchildren, Lindsay (Chip) Forrest, Ali (Dustin) White, Jay Pilcher, and Anne Marie (Matt) Spinks; great grandchildren, River Marie Pilcher, John Allen Spinks, Lily Marie Spinks, Suzanna Sinclair White, and Lilah Marie Forrest.  She was also blessed with a special friend/daughter/nextdoor neighbor, Lisa Jewell and her daughters, Jade (Tracy) Hubbard and Jillian (Julio) Andrade, and their children, Myles, Barbara Logan, and Axel.

Peggy was a faithful member of Elkdale Baptist Church for over 55 years, and loved serving her church in any way she could.  Peggy loved her girls and her grandchildren, and seeing her great grandchildren brought her much joy in the past few years.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 19, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Elkdale Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Light and Rev. Guy Anderson officiating. Graveside services will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Sunny South Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilcox County with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing.
