Peggy Sommers

Peggy Janet Sommers, formerly of Valley Grande, AL, passed away on August 24, 2015. She was born on September 23, 1931. She was preceded in death by her father, John Sommers; mother, Lottie Sommers and siblings, Clyde Sommers, Sybil Sommers Willis and Curtis Sommers. Surviving are her nieces, Patsy Willis Phillips; nephew, John Willis; great-nephew, Zach Phillips and great-niece, Ashley Phillips. Graveside services will be Friday, August 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Peggy was a beloved family member who devoted her life to serving Christ. She had a great love of animals and her dogs, Ruffles and Samantha were her "babies." She was retired from AT&T and was a lifelong member of the Bible Methodist Church in Selma where she played piano and organ. She was a sweet, dear woman with a delightful sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.
