Philip A. Beverly, Sr. passed away on November 27, 2024 at his home in Valley Grande, Alabama, in the presence of family at the age of 79.
He was born in Coffeeville, Alabama, to Cecil G. Beverly and Addie Lou Beverly.
After graduating from Parrish HighSchool, he briefly attended Auburn University before he enlisted into the army and served in Korea. Following his tour, he was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas where he met the love of his life, Marcella, and they were married for 54 years. He was a long time Auburn fan and at one time an avid hunter and fisherman. Philip retired after being employed with Bush Hog for 30 years. He devoted his life to loving and providing for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Addie Lou Beverly, his brothers Andrew “Andy” Beverly and David Beverly; and his eldest grandson Luke Serman.
He is survived by his wife, Marcella “Marcie” Beverly; his children, Kelly Serman (Bob), Frances Beasley (Michael), and Philip A. Beverly, Jr. (Andrea). He also leaves behind his five grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
In honoring Philip’s request, the family will not have any public services.
