Randy Martin Pugh passed away December 14, 2017 at the age of 55. He was born February 12, 1962 to the late Boyd Pugh and Dorothy Pugh.
A loving husband, father, brother, and uncle, he leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Tammy Pugh; son, Quinton (Courtney) Pugh; daughter, Summer (Aaron) Adams; brother, Boyd E. (Rhonda) Pugh; mother-in-law, Carolyn Cason; brother-in-law, James Bailey; niece, Madison Bailey; nephews, Kevin Pugh, Aaron Pugh and Graham Bailey and countless friends.
Chief Pugh joined the Dallas County Sherriff’s Department right out of high school and has dedicated his life to the service of the citizens of Dallas County. He served in numerous positions through the ranks, as the warden, radio operator, K-9 officer, road deputy and finally chief deputy.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkdale Baptist Church with Rev. Cory Horton officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday evening, December 17th at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Harris Huffman, Jr., John Hatfield, Mike Granthum, Roy Freine, John Strickland and John Treherne. Honorary pallbearers will be Judge Johnny Jones, Jr. and the Dallas County Sherriff’s Department.
Memorial can be made online to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
