Ray Lockhart

Lt. Col. (Ret.) Thomas Ray Lockhart, age 72, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 in a Montgomery hospital surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Estelle and Thomas Lockhart and brother, Jimmy Lockhart. Ray is survived by his wife, Betty Lockhart; children, Tom (Lisa) Lockhart, Kelley Lockhart Hartley, their mother, Molly Holroyd Lockhart, and Jeff Ellis; brothers, Ric (René) Lockhart and Mike (Cheryl) Lockhart; sister, Kathy (Ray) Champion; grandchildren, Selena Ellis, Abigail Lockhart, Elizabeth Lockhart, Eva Ellis and William Hartley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Selma Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Rob Coburn officiating. Interment will be in Milton Baptist Church Cemetery. Ray's family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, or a favorite charity.
