Rayburn Hill

Rayburn McCoy Hill, age 70, of Tyler, AL, passed away June 7, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Hill; children, Steven and Heath; step-daughters, Amanda and Anna and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He served as State Commander for the Veterans of Foreign Wars for a year and Post Commander for Post 3016 in Selma, AL numerous times. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Eulogist, Bruce Adams officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Members of the VFW Post 3016 will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Selma VFW, 3016 Kings Bend Road, Selma, AL, 36701.
