Raymond Motes

Raymond Lee Motes, age 77, passed away August 28, 2011.
Mr. Motes was a member of the Selma Masonic Lodge #926 and St. Albans Masonic Lodge in Linden, AL. He also served in the Army for 12 years.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Mary Motes; sons: Benny Motes of Linden, Al, Tim Motes of Auburn, AL, Donald Motes of Kansas; daughters: Debra Deal (Douglas) of Clanton, Dianne Gruver (Earl), Joy Motes Wade, both of Kansas City, KS ; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Calvin Strickland officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday August 31 from 6-8 p.m. at the Lawrence Funeral home. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be members of the Masonic Lodge.
