Rebekah Gray Fitzsimmons died peacefully June 7, 2023.
Mrs. Fitzsimmons was born on December 4, 1950 to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Arthur Gray. Her grandparents were Dr. and Mrs. John A. Fuller and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Arthur Gray.
Mrs. Fitzsimmons graduated from Parrish High School in 1968. She became an accredited medical technologist and she worked in the profession for nineteen years.
Rebekah was preceded in death by her father, Charles A. Gray; her loving husband, Billie and her son-in-law, Bob Richards.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Charles Gray; two daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Ruth Richards and Mrs. Amy Elizabeth (Bobby) Rinehart; three grandchildren, Charles Grady Woodall, Mary Kaitlin Woodall and Daniel Brady Woodall; sister, Margaret Gray (Kent) Cogle; niece, Callis (Wes) Blake; nephew, Douglas Gray (Anne Larkin) Cogle; three great-nieces and two great nephews.
Graveside services will be Friday, June 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Flat Cemetery on June 9th at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Lee Collins officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Boyd Fuller, Allen Kendrick, Gray Cogle, Wes Blake, Bruce Fuller and Bill Bennett.
The family would like to thank Park Place Nursing Home and Rehabilition Center for all the years of care they gave our loved one. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice for the comfort and support she recieved.
