Rev. William C. Andrews of Valley Grande, AL, age 57, went to be the Lord August 24, 2007.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Gail Andrews; sons Aaron (Bethanie) Andrews, Mt. Pleasant, TX, Mark (Annette) Andrews, Valley Grande, AL; daughter, Charity (Allen) Blackmon, Panama City, FL; grandchildren Will, Gabby, Annagrace, Cade Andrews and his chocolate lab, Gus. He was preceded in death by his parents Palmer and Hazel Andrews and brother, Joe Andrews.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 27, 2007 at 10:00 a. m. at Crosspoint Christian Church with Rev. Roy Davis, Rev. Alan Yarborough, and Rev. Sonny Guy officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, August 26, 2007 from 4:00 to 6:00 p. m. at Selma Funeral Home. Interment will be in Live Oak Cemetery, Bonifay, FL at 4:00 p.m.
Rev. Andrews was saved at age 14, began preaching at age 15, and held his first revival at the age of 16. He graduated from Rutherford High School in Panama City, FL in 1967. He attended Southeastern Bible College in Lakeland, FL. He traveled across the U. S., Canada, and Bahamas as an evangelist with his wife Gail, brother Joe and his wife Debbie, for 17 years, followed by over 5 years of pastoral service in Megargel, AL, and pastor of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Selma, AL for 10 years. During his ministry he saw countless salvations, healings and miracles.
Pallbearers will be Randy Hicks, Tim Hicks, Mark Smitherman, Ron Gordon, Johnny Harris, Tony Kaldor and Steve Blackmon.
The family would also like to thank Dr. White, Dr. Vega and the Staff of the Montgomery Cancer Center of Selma, Wiregrass Hospice, Mid-south Home Health and the staff and doctors at UAB/ Selma Family Medicine.
