Richard Stothart

Richard Burks Stothart, of Selma, passed away at home Wednesday, July 3rd after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria McKeon Stothart and father, Dr. James Lonnie Stothart. He is survived by his sister, Amanda Stothart Burton of Atlanta; niece, Joan Callen Burton of Atlanta; and nephew, James William Burton of New York.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Reverend David Powell officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers include Buford Pomery; Jimmy Herrington; Gary Haugen; Steve Toler; David Taccone; and Tony Greene.
The family would like to thank Cahaba Hospice for their loving care during his illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Selma or the American Cancer Society.
