Robert Hughes

Van Hughes, age 55, of Selma, AL, passed away August 26, 2010. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Evans and Ella Mae Hughes and Franklin King and Beuna Glass Beck and Joel Raine and his son-in-law, Kip McClerin. Surviving are his wife, Lisa Hughes, parents, William Evans and Ann Raine Hughes; sons, Robert Evans Hughes, III, Joel Austin Hughes and Evan Mason Hughes; daughters, Lindsey Hughes McClerin, Ashley Hughes Higa and Ana Marie Conner; brother, William Franklin Hughes, sisters, Wanda Hughes (Stanley) Burns and Renee Hughes Saxon; grandchildren, Carmen Hughes and Michael Higa; father-in-law, Scott James (Patricia) Conner; mother-in-law, Paula Ann (Jim) Knowles and brother-in-law, Michael Conner. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Gerry Lachance officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 6-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Stanley Burns, Austin Hughes, Robert Hughes, Richard Taylor and Robert Gordon. .
