Robert W. Kirk, Sr. passed away April 29, 2015 at the age of 96. He was born in Salisaw, Oklahoma and moved to Alabama at a young age.
He was born February 7, 1919 to the late Walter Kirk and Amanda Morgan Kirk.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Daniels Kirk; son, Robert W. Kirk, Jr and son-in-law, Lowell Fenner.
He is survived by his daughters, Betty Fenner and Judy (Henry) Twilley; son, Ray (Pat) Kirk; grandchildren, Lisa (Victor) Morales, Joi (Todd) Clayton, Chris (Susan) Kirk, Jennifer Bowers and Meaghan Fenner and great-grandchildren, David Haugen, Blake Kirk, Tanner Kirk, Garrett Kirk, R.J. Clayton, Ben Clayton, Briley Bowers and Baxley Bowers. Mr. Kirk is survived by three sisters: Lois Britton of Selma, Elizabeth Hare of Camden and Lucy Goodman of Thomasville.
He was a businessman in Orrville for seventy years. In 2014 he was honored at the Antique Tractor and Craft Show.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 1, 2015 at Orrville Baptist Church beginning at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. John MacLaren officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in the Orrville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David Kirk Haugen, Blake Kirk, Tanner Kirk, Garrett Kirk, Jed Yager and Roosevelt "Scott" Meuse.
